Traffic Switched Over on 18 September to the Three Newly-constructed Dienvidu Bridge Overpasses in the Directions toward the Riga City Centre and Daugavpils

Due to the road reconstruction works at the Maskavas and Slāvu street crossing, a lane has been opened for vehicle traffic along the three newly-constructed overpasses in the direction toward the Riga city centre and Daugavpils from the Slāvu railroad crossover.

The Slāvu street off-ramp on the right-hand side (looking toward the Daugava River from the Slāvu Bridge, in the direction of the Riga city centre) will be closed. The public transportation stop “Zilupes iela”, which is at the Slāvu and Maskavas street crossing, will be eliminated.

Traffic is currently being organized according to the temporary traffic organization scheme of stage 1 of the Dievidu Bridge construction.

As stated previously this year, the first stage of the Dienvidu Bridge will be transferred for maintenance; the stage includes a section of the road from Bauskas street to the Daugava River and from the overpass across Krasta and Maskavas streets until the Slāvu railroad crossover, the Dienvidu Bridge across the Daugava River and the three-level overpass over Krasta and Maskavas streets.
