Public Discussion of the 3rd and 4th Stages of the Construction Project of the Riga North Transport Corridor Has Started
The Riga City Council City Development Department, on the basis of the Environment Supervision State Bureau Resolution No. 319 of 4 July 2007, has started assessment of the impact on the environment of the 3rd and 4th stages of the Riga North Transport Corridor – motorway from the Riga detour road (Salaspils – Babīte) of the A5 road to Daugavgrīvas iela, as well as has passed the aforesaid construction project for public discussion.
The aim of the environmental assessment is to evaluate the possibilities of building the new access road to Riga.
Informative materials can be viewed in the 2nd floor hall of the Rātsnams at 1 Rātslaukums, Riga from 16.07.2007 to 20.08.2007 on workdays from 9.00 – 17.00. Written offers and the questionnaires can be submitted within the aforesaid period to the Environment Supervision State Bureau at 23 Rūpniecības iela, Riga, LV-1045, (phone:67321173, Internet home page address www.vidm.gov.lv/ivnvb) and the Clients Service Centre of the City Development Department at 4 Amatu iela, Riga, LV – 1050, (phone:67012856, 67105655).
The discussion meeting shall take place on 26 July at 17.00 at the Rātsnama Domes Meeting Hall on the 1st floor at 1 Rātslaukums, Riga.
Following summary of the pubic discussion results, the issue will be put forward for consideration at the Riga City Council, contact phone: 8000 800.
Developer of the preliminary research of the motor road location is SIA “BRD Projekts”.
