Practical Manual on Organising Public Discussions of Construction Projects has been Elaborated

Specialists of the Riga City Council City Development Department have elaborated a practical manual on organising public discussions of construction projects.

The following issues related to the public discussion organising and executing different materials are considered in the manual:  how to correctly create and place construction charts, map-cases, statements and other informative materials, how to organise presentations during the public discussion period. The course of the public discussion procedure is explained in the manual and what happens afterwards, as well specific samples of statements, map-cases, questionnaire forms and other materials are provided.

The manual is intended as an auxiliary material for the developers and any interested persons, who wish to understand the public discussion procedure or to check conformity of the specific discussions to the regulatory documents. Its necessity was determined by the daily work of the Department on issues of public discussions of construction projects – very many developers and residents wished to see the regulatory requirements in a comprehensive form with explanations, in order to be more conveniently and expeditiously prepared or to evaluate the determined discussion procedure.
