Model of the Riga Centre Territory is Available for Viewing at the Rātsnams
Starting with 18 March, all interested persons can view the model of the 21 square kilometres large territory of the Riga Centre at the Rātsnams. The model depicts the historical centre of Riga, the Skanstes iela region, the Daugava and Pārdaugava territories with greenery, water areas, streets and the existing structures.
The complete model of the Riga central part, where the 60 square kilometres large territory is depicted, also includes the territory in the north-eastern direction up to Ķīšezers, a part of Sarkandaugava, Lielie and Meža kapi and Čiekurkalns. At present appropriate and publicly accessible premises for exhibiting the complete model of the Riga central part are being searched for.
The model is created in such a way as to provide an opportunity for viewing the Riga City territory and its further development by placing new objects into it, as well as to secure the visually spatial depiction of the city environment for the City presentation needs.
