Announcement on Public Discussion of the 2nd Draft of the Environmental Survey (On Assessment of the Strategic Effect on the Environment of Amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018)
Elaboration of the amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 has been started pursuant to the Riga City Council resolutions No. 1953 and No. 1954 of 23.01.2007 and No. 2633 of 03.07.2007 supplemented by the resolutions No. 3535 of 01.04.2008, No. 4224 of 30.09.2008, No. 4284 of 14.10.2008 and No. 4591 of 16.12.2008.
In accordance with the resolution No.58-p of the Environment Supervision State Bureau of the Ministry of Environment dated 24.08.2007 On Application of the Procedure of Assessment of the Strategic Effect on the Environment, the amendments have to be provided with assessment of the strategic effect on the environment.
The 2nd draft of the environmental survey of the amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 has been prepared.
The amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 have been elaborated by the Riga City Council City Development Department, Amatu iela 4, Riga, tel.+371 67105800, www.rdpad.lv. The draft environmental survey has been elaborated by Vides Konsultāciju Birojs SIA, Ezermalas iela 24/26, Riga, tel./ fax +371 67557668; www.vkb.lv.
The field of application of the planning documents: territory planning.
The term for elaborating the documents: The Amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 –2018 is currently being elaborated and their approval is planned for the first half of 2009.
The term for implementing the planning documents: during the period of up to 2018.
The territory to be effected by implementation of the planning documents: territory around the city of Riga.
We invite you to participate in the public discussion, where all interested parties will be able to view the amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018, the 2nd draft of the environmental survey of the amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 and its summary.
The public discussion meeting will take place at 17:00 on 15 and 20 April 2009 at the Assembly Hall of the Riga City Council at Rātslaukums 1, 1st Floor.
The amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018, the 2nd draft of the environmental survey of the amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 and its summary can be viewed from 1 April – 11 May 2009 at:
- the Riga City Council premises at Rātslaukums 1, Riga, 1st Floor, every day from 9.00 – 17.00.
- the Urban Planning Board of Riga City Council City Development Department, at Amatu iela 4, Riga, www.rdpad.lv, tel.+371 67105816, during office hours for visitors: on Mondays and Thursdays from 14.00 to 18.00.
