Announcement on Presenting the First Wording of Amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 for Public Discussion and Receiving Opinions

In accordance with the 16.12.2008 Riga City Council resolution No. 4591 “On Presenting the First Wording of Amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 for Public Discussion and Receiving Opinions”. Elaboration of the amendments has been started pursuant to the 23.01.2007 Riga City Council resolutions No. 1953 and No. 1954 and the 03.07.2007 resolution No. 2633, which are supplemented by the 01.04.2008 resolution No. 3535, the 30.09.2008 resolution No. 4224 and the 14.10.2008 resolution No. 4284.

The Director of the Riga City Council City Development Department has been approved as the head of elaborating the amendments.

The public discussion term is set for 07.01.2009 to 17.02.2009.

During the public discussion period, Riga City Council City Development Department specialists will provide consultations and answer your questions every Thursday from 14:00 to 17:00 in the Riga City Council premises at Rātslaukums 1.

Visitors will be accepted on Mondays and Thursdays from 14.00 to 18.00 at the Urban Planning Board of the Riga City Council City Development Department at Amatu iela 4, Riga, LV – 1050.

The Riga Territory Plan for 2006-2018 and its amendments, the Riga Development Programme for 2006-2012, the Riga Long-term Development Strategy for the Period up to 2025, and the summary of opinions and proposals of residents received in the process of elaborating the first wording of the local government territory planning can be viewed on the 1st floor of the Riga City Council at Rātslaukums 1, on workdays from 9.00 to 17.00 from 07.01.2009 to 17.02.2009, as well as on the Internet home page www.rdpad.lv.

During the public discussion period, all interested persons can also view the environmental survey draft to the amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006-2018 and its summary. The environmental survey draft has been elaborated by Vides Konsultāciju Birojs SIA. Written opinions and proposals for supplementing the environmental survey draft to the amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006-2018 are expected to be submitted during the public discussion period from 07.01.2009 to 17.02.2009 to Vides Konsultāciju Birojs SIA at Ezermalas iela 24/26, Riga, LV-1014; telephone/fax +371 67557668; e-mail: birojs@vkb.lv.

The public discussion meeting will be held at 18:00 on 16.02.2009 on the 1st floor of the Riga City Council at Rātslaukums 1.

Written proposals can be submitted until 17 February 2009 to the Urban Planning Board of the Riga City Council City Development Department at Amatu iela 4, Riga, LV – 1050.
