Announcement on Presenting the Final Draft of Amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 for Public Discussion
Pursuant to the Riga City Council resolution No. 4887 of 31.03.2009 On Improving the First Draft of Amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 and Elaboration of the Final Draft, the Riga City Council City Development Department presents the final draft of amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 for public discussion.
Elaboration of the amendments was started pursuant to the Riga City Council resolutions No. 1953 and No. 1954 of 23.01.2007 and the resolution No. 2633 of 03.07.2007 supplemented by the resolutions No. 3535 of 01.04.2008, No. 4224 of 30.09.2008, No. 4128 of 14.10.2008 and No. 4591 of 16.12.2008.
The Riga City Council City Development Department Director has been approved as the head for elaboration of the amendments.
The public discussion period has been determined as 1 – 24 April 2009.
During the public discussion period, every Thursday from 14:00 – 17:00, specialists of the Riga City Council City Development Department will provide consultations and reply to your questions in the Riga City Council premises at Rātslaukums 1, 1st Floor.
Visitors will be accepted on Mondays and Thursdays from 14:00 – 18:00 at the Urban Planning Board of the Riga City Council City Development Department at Amatu iela 4, Riga, LV – 1050, telephone +371 67105816.
The Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 and its amendments, the Riga Development Programme for 2006 – 2012, the Riga Long-term Development Strategy for the Period up to 2025, and the summary of opinions and proposals of residents received in the process of public discussions of the first draft of the territory planning amendments can be viewed at the Riga City Council at Rātslaukums 1, 1st Floor, on workdays from 9.00 to 17.00 during the period of 1 – 24 April 2009, as well as on the Internet home page www.rdpad.lv in the Public Discussions section.
During the public discussion period, the 2nd draft of the Environmental Survey of the Strategic Effect on the Environment of amendments to the Riga Territory Plan for 2006 – 2018 can be viewed as well.
The public discussion meeting will take place at 17:00 on 15 and 20 April 2009 at the Assembly Hall of the Riga City Council at 1 Rātslaukums, 1st Floor.
Written proposals can be submitted by 24 April 2009 to the Urban Planning Board of Riga City Council City Development Department at Amatu iela 4, Riga, LV – 1050.
Opinions can also be submitted online on the www.riga.lv webpage in the section E-Services, Public Discussions.
